Liquor Group hosts Halloween Party with Mayo Clinic


October 29, 2010 – The Mayo Clinic and Liquor Group present “Trick or Treatment” and annual event to help fund raising efforts for Cancer treatment at the Mayo Clinic.  Popular brands such as Ocean VodkaRussian Ice Vodka and Rhythm Liqueur kept the ghouls at bay while the ghosts and goblins danced the night away!  Halloween.com helped to spread the word about the event which will likely grow even larger in years to come. This years’ annual event raised more than $25,000 for the charity, which is a big step in providing treatment for those in need.

Liquor Group & Happy Rum Sponsor the 8th Annual Jacksonville Film Festival


Jacksonville, FL – October 14-17, 2010 - The Jacksonville Film Festival presented a 2010 lineup of films and events with a focus on industry workshops and panels; supporting filmmaking and filmmakers in the Sunshine State.

This years festival features performances from Will Farrel, Tim Allen, Elisha Cuthbert, Eric Christian Olsen, Andie McDowell, Jenna Elfman, Jenna Dewan, Devon Sawa, Kelli Garner, Chris Klein, Paz Vega, Edward Herman, Lindsay Sloane, Rebecca Hall, Glenn Howerton, Laura Dern, Stephen Root, Michael Pena, Judd Nelson, Joey Lauren Adams, Connor Fox and Tom Arnold.

Events featuring interviews with Flea, Gwen Stefani, Ice-T, Perry Farrell, Branford Marsalis, George Clinton, Tim Robbins, Gogol Bordello and more kept the celebrities in the forefront of the events.

The line up of independent films included:

Six Wives of Henry Lefay,  Everything must go, Thespians, A NY Thing, I Want So Much To Live, Jews and Baseball, The 904, I Am Bish, The Fat Boy Chronicles, No Such Thing as Color, Sudden Death!, Poinciana Sunrise, Love Bug, StreetBall, Endure & Everyday Sunshine

Products exclusively featured from the Liquor Group portfolio at the entire event included: Russian Ice Vodka, Rhythm Citrus Liqueur, Fat Ass Tequila, Old St. Andrews Scotch, and Happy Rum.

The grand party on final night of the event was a Prohibition Themed Gala filled with ladies dressed as flappers and gentlemen dressed in Zoot-Suits and Rum-Runner Regalia.  The Roaring 20’s began with prohibition in 1920 and ended with the stock market crash in 1929.  Everyone was listening to Louie Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton or off dancing the Charleston.  The silent film industry in Jacksonville was booming.  Chinese food was becoming popular and drinks were served in bathtubs.  The 20’s saw the arrival of the flapper, speakeasies, gangsters and independent filmmaking.  The crowd got to relive the roaring 20’s at the 2010 Jacksonville Film Festival’s Happy Rum Gala.
