Liquor Group goes Mad About Marilyn Monroe
More than 450 guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails sponsored by Edward Jones Investments. Alcohol brands such as Ocean Vodka, Columbus Rum, Old St. Andrews Scotch, Fat Ass Tequila and Happy Gin were poured in concoctions emulating drinks from a by-gone era such as “The Manhattan” and “The Side Car” as well as modern styled martinis and libations. The soirée culminated with a live art tribute performance by famed artist Tony Trotti, who painted an amazing likeness of Marilyn Monroe in less time than it took to play “Goodbye Norma Jean” as performed by Elton John. The event was covered by various press including Jacksonville Magazine, and the party itself raised $50,000 to further the Museums community involvement in art related events within the Greater Jacksonville area.
