Liquor Group's South Carolina Acquisition Featured In MDA Magazine

July 15, 2010 -Modern Distillery Age Magazine is first to break the story of the acquisition of well known and respected Aardvark Beverage by Liquor Group.  

Aardvark, a woman & military veteran owned operation currently represents approximately one hundred varieties of liquor and wine products.   

The reporter expanded on concept of bringing together independent distributors and allowing them to continue to operate their own state level business under one centralized operations umbrella while utilizing Liquor Group’s Patent-Pending Distribution model.   

This marks the second time in two weeks that Liquor Group has been published in national trade publications for their acquisition activities.

Liquor Group Acquires Alcohol Distributor in South Carolina

Greenville, SC, July 13, 2010 - Liquor Group Wholesale, Inc. (Publicly Traded: LIQR) once again makes good on their expansion commitment made to shareholders by announcing today the third addition of a new sales territory in the past nine months through the acquisition of a statewide liquor distribution operation in the State of South Carolina.  

The acquisition of well known and respected Aardvark Beverage was underwritten by VIGOR Holding Company, an institutional shareholder of LIQR, and brings husband and wife team John & Jennifer Ward and their sales & distribution team into the Liquor Group fold through a five year stock-vesting plan.

“These acquisitions are not buy outs…they are buy in’s.” says C. J. Eiras, CEO of Liquor Group Wholesale.  The concept of bringing together independent distributors, allowing them to continue to operate their own state business under one umbrella, allowing them the advantage of use of Liquor Group’s Patent-Pending Distribution model and to vest the acquisitions of these companies over five years through stock in the company was first presented by Eiras to the Board of Directors in early 2009.  The activity since that approval has been brisk, with more than thirty more acquisitions scheduled or pending, each adding between $1M to $30M in asset value to the organization and increasing overall sales and territory coverage for the company.

Liquor Group gets the Rhythm

July 1, 2010 Jacksonville, FL – RJS Spirits selected Liquor Group Wholesale, Inc. (Publicly Traded: LIQR) to introduce Rhythm branded liqueur to the Florida market.  Rhythm is no ordinary beverage, it is the “New Premium” 70 proof citrus liqueur; the perfect blend of 23 different citrus flavors infused with caffeine, ginseng, taurine, damiana, B6 and B12. “Rhythm is the first product of its type, there really is nothing to compare it to…" says RJS Spirits co-founder Jeff Freiberger “…it is in our opinion the most versatile and mixable product on the market today.”  This flavor-blend was developed by Dave Dafoe of Pro-Liquitech, the creator of Jones Sodas flavors and Brown Foreman’s (NYSE: BF) Jack Daniels® Country Cocktails® line.  Rhythm is ready-to-mix with beer, straight up, on the rocks, in shots and in signature/traditional juice cocktails.  Rhythm has established itself as the “One-Drink-Fits-All” spirit of today.

Rhythm Liqueur received outstanding product placement in the new DJ Khaled "All I Do Is Win" Remix song and video featuring music artists DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, P Diddy, Rick Ross, Fabulous, Nikki Minaj, Jadakiss and Fat Joe.  One day after its release it has already ranked 34th on iTunes and is steadily climbing; reaching hundreds of thousands if not millions of plays/downloads over the next 2-3 months.  The exposure that the brand receives from this placement nationally and internationally should allow drastic increases sales in both the on-premise and off-premise markets. With additional tie-ins to NASCAR, star studded events at the Playboy Mansion and features on the Bravo Channel with the Real Housewives of Atlanta, it makes complete sense why RHYTHM has experienced a rapid growth in the short time since its’ launch in late 2008.

Liquor Group’s June 2010 opening order exceeded $500,000 worth of Rhythm, and that inventory has depleted rapidly.  Lowell Newman, Liquor Group's Vice President and Product Manager noted that placement is not an issue with this brand: “We have opened more than 1000 accounts for this product in Florida in less than 10 business days…” demonstrating that Rhythm will be strong competition for many established brands, and is yet another of the thousands of brands currently being represented by Liquor Group companies throughout the US. 

Plans are already in the works for expanding the sales of Rhythm to other states within the Liquor Group distribution network.
