Liquor Group Holds A Chair Affair



Jacksonville, FL – March 15, 2011 - The Museum of Contemporary Art (MocaJax.org) of Jacksonville and University of North Florida (UNF.edu) presented a unique Gala Exhibit drawing International acclaim: A Chair Affair.  The lineup of chair exhibits with a focus on design elements and historic relevance was a huge success in the Sunshine State.

“The Art of Seating: 200 Years of American Design” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, a cultural resource of the University of North Florida, presents the history, innovation and construction of American chair design. Curated from a private collection, this exhibit showcases important selections from the 1800s to the present by designers and manufactures including John Henry Belter; George Hunzinger; the Herter Brothers; the Stickley Brothers; Frank Lloyd Wright; Charles and Ray Eames; Isamu Noguchi; Frank Gehry; Knoll; Herman Miller; Steelcase and others.

Products exclusively featured from the Liquor Group portfolio during the Gala event included: Punta Serena Tequilas, Yahara Bay’s Portfolio of Spirits, Russian Ice Vodka, Rhythm Citrus Liqueur, Old St. Andrews Scotch, Ocean Vodka, Extrordinario Tequila, San Valentino’s Wine Portfolio and Happy Rum.

The chair in the photo above was that of Abraham Lincoln, used as his office chair during his time as President of the United States and was just one of the many focal point pieces at the event.
